Art Is Revolution is a movement of art used as a tool in activism, development and sustainability. It’s ultimate goal is to inspire a collection of ideas that will establish a revolutionary discourse prompting action. With the use of visual art and performance, dialogue is encouraged to confront poverty, human rights, displacement and neo-colonialism on a global scale.

Resident artist, Khaleb Salah Sojourner leads this conversation and experience by using photography, installation and painting to zero-in on the realities of gentrification, gender issues and privilege.

On June 29, 2014, at The Paper Box (17 Meadow Street, Brooklyn) Art Is Revolution will officially launch with an exhibition inspired by narratives and critical memory while giving voice to the unheard allowing those voices to “speak back” to the audience.
