LGBT media advocacy org GLAAD today announced the nominees for its 27th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, presented by Delta Air Lines, Hilton, Ketel One Vodka, and Wells Fargo. The GLAAD Media Awards recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of the LGBT community and the issues that affect their lives. In the wake of #OscarsSoWhite protests and boycotts, among GLAAD’s nominees are people of color (POC) and queer/trans POC publications, scripted shows/roles, and more that nailed coverage of our community. Some include:

Outstanding Talk Show Episode
For the first time in nearly a decade, the GLAAD Media Awards will be televised exclusively on Logo in a one-hour special premiering in April 2016. The GLAAD Media Awards ceremonies will be held in Los Angeles on April 2, 2016 at The Beverly Hilton, and in New York on May 14 at the Waldorf Astoria New York.
