On Sunday, October 21, The Women of MOVA and ‘Insatiable Bites’ and ‘Cater II You’ teaming up as ‘LoveLust’ will launch Jazz Brunch Sundays, a sophisticated dining experience catering to lesbian women and friends. Taking place at the upscale MOVA Lounge, 2204 14th Street, N.W., Washington, D.C, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., Jazz Brunch Sundays will offer unlimited small plates and mimosas. ELIXHER, the go-to online destination for queer women of color, is the media sponsor of the event.

Debuting during Howard University Homecoming weekend, the monthly brunch features LoveLust’s signature Chicken & Waffles, a Build-Your-Own omelet station and Chef Nina B’s Sweet Potato Cheesecake. The unlimited small plate buffet also hosts an assortment of breakfast meats, collard greens and smoked Gouda grits.

“Who doesn’t want to be in a space that’s incredibly sexy and has amazing food?” asks LoveLust Chef Rakita Lillard. “Jazz Brunch Sundays at MOVA is that place.”

Offering unlimited small plates for $25 and unlimited mimosas for $35, the unforgettable menu delights will be accompanied by entertainment from DC’s own lowercaseletters, a music group that plays soul, rock, R&B, neo-soul, funk, and experimental acoustic music.

“MOVA is sexy and inviting. It has become a haven for the local queer community making it the perfect backdrop for our community to celebrate life, to indulge in LoveLust’s delicious food and the jazzy sounds of local talent,” adds LoveLust Chef Nina B.

The new team of gourmet culinary artists with years of professional catering under their aprons aims to elevate palates with a high-end dining experience at accessible price points.

“We’re extremely excited to work with this talented team,” says ELIXHER creator Kimberley McLeod. “Jazz Brunch Sundays at MOVA is the perfect fusion of sophistication and sultry. I look forward to introducing ELIXHER to D.C. and letting women throughout the District know why this is the place to be.”

There will be a cash raffle in support of the annual AIDS walk. Three baskets of MAC beauty products will be raffled off. All raffle proceeds benefit MAC at Metro Center. Event tickets available here.
