Transgender model Connie Fleming graces the cover of Candy magazine, a publication devoted to covering “transversal style.” (You might recall actor James Franco’s cover.) For the magazine’s fifth issue, publisher Luis Venegas headed to the White House for inspiration: Fleming stars as a Michelle Obama lookalike. We’ve got a lot of work to do when it comes to honoring and protecting Black trans lives, but we can’t wait for the day a Black trans woman becomes president. #YESWECAN
