VIDEO: Thomas Roberts Interviews Janet Mock on MSNBC
Yay for trans visibility! Janet Mock is everywhere. And we love it! The transgender People.com staff editor and trans advocate recently shared her emotional story on MSNBC.
In response to a question about her recent theGrio’s 100 recognition, Janet said, “I’m just overwhelmed by the attention and the honor of being included as one of our nation’s 100 most influential black leaders making history today. I think that for the LGBT community, especially with the black community, it’s an amazing first step foward in terms of recognizing that we’re also part of the community despite our different paths and where we come from. So it’s an honor to see that our stories and our struggles and our successes are celebrated.”
