Wanna change the face of media?! Good news!

ELIXHER, your go-to resource for all things empowering, thought-provoking, and pertinent to the Black female lesbian, bisexual and transgender community and experience, is currently seeking enthusiastic regional editors to join our fast-growing website and digital magazine. Duties include assisting the editor-in-chief with editing, posting, reporting and writing short articles/blurbs on news, culture, politics, community events and more. The West Coast Regional Editor and Southern Regional Editor must be based in their respective regions. Trans, bisexual, and masculine-of-center women strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:
- Write and edit articles about news, culture, politics, and more—pertinent to the Black queer women community and/or has a strong Black queer women lens.
- General media monitoring of LGBTQ news, issues and community events specific to assigned region.
- Assist in the management and execution of monthly editorial calendar.
- Attend weekly staff e-meetings via conference call.

Skills & Experience:
- A strong background in writing and editing; strong research, communication and organizational skills; and an ability to work well under tight deadlines.
- Ability to turn around tight, accurate copy while meeting daily deadlines.
- Attention to detail is a must.

Positions are part-time and on a volunteer basis. There are opportunities to receive various perks such as free tickets to events, product samples, etc. Priority will be given to Regional Editors for paid assignments (for example, articles in the digital magazine).
